Dallas Sport Fan – Mavs Snap Out Of It, Stars On Thin Ice, Romo Tees It Up With Tiger, Rangers Tie Up Important Players

If you write a soccer blog in Dallas, the MLS season hasn’t started yet, so fans of FC Dallas still have some time to focus on the other teams in the area. The defending champion <a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/mavericks-schedule-december/"title="Mavericks TV & Game Times" >Mavericks are rounding into form, the Stars are trying to stay within shouting distance of the playoffs, the Rangers are still improving their team, while the Cowboys’ quarterback is making news off the field this week, but in a good way.

<a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/category/dallas-mavericks/"title="Dallas Mavericks Current Articles" >Dallas Mavericks

The Mavericks lost two of their three games last week, falling to Indiana and at Cleveland, but they snapped a three-game skid with a victory in Denver on Wednesday night, and a Bodog review of Dallas’ early season would state that they’ve done pretty well in the face of injuries, and they still don’t have Jason Kidd back, although he could be back on the weekend as the Denver game was the sixth that he’d missed. This week coming, the Mavericks head to Minnesota on Friday night before returning home to host Portland, the Los Angeles Clippers and the Nuggets.

<a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/category/dallas-stars-nhl/"title="Dallas Stars News" >Dallas Stars

Dallas has picked themselves up after a five-game skid last month, but players that purchase bookie software should still be skeptical of their playoff chances despite being only two points out of eighth place. The Stars were thumped in San Jose last Thursday before they bounced back for a shootout win in Minnesota, but then they were handled at home by Phoenix and the Stars are now struggling to find consistency down for the stretch run. This week’s slate sees the Stars going to Columbus and Buffalo for back-to-back games, then they host Los Angeles before travelling to Detroit to wrap up a busy week.

<a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/category/dallas-cowboys-nfl/"title="Dallas Cowboys News" >Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys are still looking at ways to improve their status among those that work with price per head sports services, but it is a long offseason and the players are unwinding. Quarterback Tony Romo loves to play golf and he is pretty good, almost qualifying for the U.S. Open in recent years, and he will be paired up with Tiger Woods at the star-studded AT&T Pebble Beach National at venerable Pebble Beach. Woods is resuming his chase for the all-time major-championship record, and he has had high praise for Romo’s golf game as well, so this will get a lot of attention over the weekend.

<a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/category/texas-rangers/"title="Texas Rangers Current Articles" >Texas Rangers

The Rangers are tying up some of their players after the Yu Darvish signing, as they agreed with Elvis Andrus on a three-year, $14.4 million deal and they’re working on re-signing Nelson Cruz, whose big bat was a major factor in their postseason run which ended in a second consecutive loss in the World Series. The Rangers are going to be in tough in the West as the Los Angeles Angels reloaded with Albert Pujols and former Texas ace C.J. Wilson, so you may even be able to find some value on their World Series odds at places like Bodog.

The sports betting world got a small peek into what Hall of Fame weekend will look like in the NFL when August rolls around when the new inductees into the Hall of Fame were announced just prior to the Super Bowl. The final list of inductees includes cornerback Jack Butler, center Demontti Dawson, linebacker Chris Doleman, defensive tackle Cortez Kennedy, running back Curtis Martin and offensive tackle Willie Roaf. The first thing that the price per head sports experts noticed is that there were no <a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/category/dallas-cowboys-nfl/"title="Dallas Cowboys News" >Dallas Cowboys on that list. That is significant because two former Cowboys were nominated and not selected; head coach Bill Parcells and defensive end Charles Haley. Many feel that these snubs were almost unforgivable.

The price per head bookie community will readily admit that nothing Bill Parcells did while with the Cowboys was particularly Hall of Fame worthy. But a head coach that takes two different franchises to the Super Bowl puts up a strong argument for inclusion into Canton. The story of Charles Haley is a little harder to understand. Haley was a five-time Super Bowl champion, a five-time Pro Bowl selection, had 100 ½ sacks in his career and is already on the Cowboys Ring of Fame. Many would argue that if Haley does not qualify for the Hall of Fame, then what defensive player does?

What has kept Haley out of the Hall of Fame to this point is the attitude he displayed during his playing days. He often spoke out against coaches and took steps to divide locker rooms. It was hard to predict what Haley would do from game to game, or even day to day. The media loved Haley’s sound bites, but team management and players who were often the target of his verbal assaults did not appreciate his candor. Still, with five Super Bowl victories and five Pro Bowl appearances, many think that it is Haley’s on-field performance that should matter and not his ability to disrupt a team.

A bodog review of the Cowboys’ 2011 season shows a team that had several chances to win the division but could not get the job done. During Super Bowl XLVI, Dallas quarterback Tony Romo kept fans updated on what he was doing and what he was thinking by Twittering before and during the game. Romo expressed frustration that another Super Bowl was being played that the Cowboys were not part of. Romo indicated that Cowboys’ fans should look forward to 2012 as there are great things coming up for Dallas. Several of Romo’s teammates also tweeted that they feel confident about next year and are looking forward to the start of training camp.

Rookie running back DeMarco Murray is making headlines with his confident talk and rapid pace towards recovering from his injury. Murray assured fans through Twitter that it is not a betonline scam to expect him to be ready for training camp to open in 2012. Murray indicated that he is progressing ahead of schedule in his injury recovery program and he was one of the Tony Romo teammates that indicated that the Cowboys’ fans can be confident about 2012.

Superbowl odds is the main focus for most sports fans right now, although in Dallas, it may sting to see the New York Giants in the big game after they took advantage of the Cowboys’ collapse, beating them twice in the final four weeks of the season. However, the Cowboys have plenty of time to make moves in the offseason, much like Texas, who are still looking to improve their rotation. Meanwhile, the <a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/mavericks-schedule-december/"title="Mavericks TV & Game Times" >Mavericks are battling for the top spot in their division, while the Stars are back from the All-Star break.

<a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/category/dallas-mavericks/"title="Dallas Mavericks Current Articles" >Dallas Mavericks

The Mavericks are tied with San Antonio for first place in the Southwest Division, and some BetOnline players are surprised that Dallas are still in it despite a lot of injury woes in the first third of the season. Dallas went 3-1 over the last week with wins over Utah, the aforementioned Spurs in overtime (both at home) and then a romp in Phoenix before they fell at home to Oklahoma City in a hotly contested game. On Friday, the Mavericks host Indiana before heading on the road for games in Cleveland, Denver and Minnesota.

<a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/category/dallas-stars-nhl/"title="Dallas Stars News" >Dallas Stars

Jamie Benn was the only Star to make the All-Star game, and he was scoreless, but his team captained by Boston’s Zdeno Chara won a 12-9 game in Ottawa and it was a solid experience for the 22-year-old, who won the accuracy competition in the Skills contest on Saturday night. But he got back on the scoresheet in Dallas’ first game back after the break, a 6-2 win in Anaheim, which was the second half of a home-and-home with the Ducks that started before the break with a 1-0 win at home. The Stars will stay on the West Coast to face NHL favorites San Jose on Thursday night, and then they return home to host Minnesota and Phoenix.

<a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/category/dallas-cowboys-nfl/"title="Dallas Cowboys News" >Dallas Cowboys

Experienced players that purchase price per head bookie software may be skeptical of the Cowboys next season and for good reason, and it’s going to be interesting to see what Dallas does in the offseason. They’re targeting the draft to improve their secondary, but they’ll also be aggressive on the free-agent market, providing there are players out there. But it may be mental at this point with the Cowboys, and the coaching staff has to improve as well, especially late in games.

<a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/category/texas-rangers/"title="Texas Rangers Current Articles" >Texas Rangers

The Rangers tied up Yu Darvish for their rotation, and now they’re reportedly going after veteran Roy Oswalt, who is also coveted by Boston and St. Louis. Oswalt is coming off an injury-plagued year in Philadelphia, where he was overshadowed by Roy Halladay, Cliff Lee and Cole Hamels, so maybe he needs a fresh start and an reinvigorated Oswalt would help any team’s online betting odds.

As the Super Bowl betting continues, the <a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/category/dallas-cowboys-nfl/"title="Dallas Cowboys News" >Dallas Cowboys are conspicuous by their absence in this year’s playoffs. The 2011 version of the Cowboys put up more of a fight but, in the end, the results were the same as 2010; the Cowboys missed the playoffs. As the off-season is getting ready to begin, there are a lot of questions that surround the Cowboys’ defense. One of the biggest question areas is at safety where the Cowboys had almost no interceptions and could not stop a big play all season long. Safety Abram Elam was signed to a one-year contract worth $2.5 million and Gerald Sensabaugh was signed to a five-year deal worth $22.5 million. It appears that the Cowboys have painted itself into a corner at safety.

The price per head sports experts are quick to point out that the Cowboys signed Sensabaugh to his contract at a time when no other team was showing an interest in the safety. The Cowboys could have gotten Sensabaugh for less, but did not. The problem is that Elam seemed to be more competent at safety and is well-liked by his teammates and coaches. Elam is also in demand with a few other teams. If the Cowboys want to make changes at safety, then it will have to retain Sensabaugh and let Elam go due to current contracts. That is the opposite of what many observers feel is the right thing for the Cowboys to do.

The pay per head sports experts point to bad contract decisions, like the one at safety, as one of the reasons why the Cowboys are going to have a difficult time making personnel changes on defense. The Cowboys are not going to be able to make wholesale changes without taking a financial hit, and some players are not convinced that wholesale changes are even necessary. Pro Bowl linebacker DeMarcus Ware has come out in support of defensive coordinator Rob Ryan and his system. Ware tells fans to be patient and give the defense a full off-season to work things out. A sportsbook review of the current roster shows players that could not flourish under two defensive systems. It will be interesting to see what changes, if any, are made on the Dallas defense.

Despite the surprise ice storm in North Texas on Super Bowl Sunday and the blatant greed that ignited the seating controversy, there is talk that the new Cowboys Stadium will host another Super Bowl in the future. The betonline scam that owner Jerry Jones caused by selling tickets to seats that did not exist was eventually settled out of court and, apparently, forgotten by the league. The rumors are growing stronger as new cities are announced for upcoming Super Bowl years. Both owner Jerry Jones and Hall of Fame quarterback Roger Staubach are giving indications that the NFL could announce another Dallas Super Bowl in the not too distant future. Skeptics are warning that Jones will turn another Super Bowl into an embarrassment if given the chance.

The NHL is holding their All-Star break this weekend, and the Stars are happy to see it as they’ve struggled as of late. But we’ll start in the NBA, where the <a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/mavericks-schedule-december/"title="Mavericks TV & Game Times" >Mavericks are starting to come around, while Dallas and the <a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/category/texas-rangers/"title="Texas Rangers Current Articles" >Texas Rangers are getting ready for next season.

<a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/category/dallas-mavericks/"title="Dallas Mavericks Current Articles" >Dallas Mavericks

The Mavericks went 3-1 over the last week, defeating Utah and New Orleans on the road, while they returned home to beat Phoenix, but they ended the week with a big loss to Minnesota at home. A BetOnline.com review of that game would probably throw in the fact that the Mavericks finally received their championship rings before that game, so they may not have been as focused as they would like. It’s a relatively light week for the Mavericks coming up as they host the Jazz, followed by San Antonio on Sunday, and then on Monday they’ll be in Phoenix. But the Mavs are still missing Dirk Nowitzki due to a knee problem.

<a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/category/dallas-stars-nhl/"title="Dallas Stars News" >Dallas Stars

It was smart of the NHL to avoid a busy week for Super Bowl betting players next week, so their All-Star festivities will take place this weekend and the Stars will be represented by 22-year-old Jamie Benn, who missed the five games because of an appendectomy, but he was activated in time to take part in the annual contest. The Stars need him back after the break as they were 1-4 in the games that he missed, with three of the losses coming by a single goal, and only a 1-0 shutout at home over Anaheim gave the Stars a win heading into the break. They’ll return next Tuesday in Anaheim before heading to San Jose on Thursday.

<a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/category/dallas-cowboys-nfl/"title="Dallas Cowboys News" >Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys are looking ahead to next season, and experienced players that use bookie software would tell you that Dallas needs help in the secondary badly. Defensive tackle Jay Ratliff and linebacker DeMarcus Ware are representing the Cowboys at the Pro Bowl this weekend in Hawaii, but the front seven was asked to do too much this season. The rumor is that the Cowboys are looking hard at cornerback Janoris Jenkins, who is out to put a troubled college career at Florida and North Alabama behind him. Jenkins is incredibly talented, but was arrested twice at Florida, and a fresh start in the NFL may be what he needs. Will owner Jerry Jones take the risk?

Texas Rangers

The Rangers didn’t land slugger Prince Fielder, who signed with Detroit instead, but they have enough bats in the lineup to make up for him. Now, there are whispers that Roy Oswalt may be interested in coming back to Texas; he spent most of his career in Houston before he was shipped to Philadelphia and is now a free agent. A veteran presence like Oswalt could certainly help boost the Rangers’ odds at betting websites.

As the Super Bowl betting approaches, the <a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/category/dallas-cowboys-nfl/"title="Dallas Cowboys News" >Dallas Cowboys are once again on the outside looking in as the team did not make the playoffs this year. In past off-seasons, team owner and general manager Jerry Jones would indicate that the team had no plans on making major changes, even though changes were desperately needed. The Cowboys have needed to attend to its offensive line and defensive secondary for three years now, but Jones had refused to act. All of that may be changing if Jones remains true to his recent statements.

The price per head sports experts were wondering which area of the team that Jones would address first and it looks like it will be the defensive secondary. The Cowboys became infamous for giving up long plays to the opposing offense with the run and the pass. But the biggest offenders were the players in the defensive secondary. Jerry Jones has vowed that Cowboys’ fans will see several new faces in the Cowboys’ defensive secondary when training camp opens for the 2012 season. Jones did not comment on the offensive line or indicate when changes would be made to that unit.

The pay per head sports experts have been projecting for weeks now that the Cowboys will be taking a top-tier quarterback in the 2012 draft. Many of the experts have been suggesting a second or third-round pick, while others have gone so far as to say that the Cowboys will use its first pick to take Tony Romo’s replacement. Jerry Jones was asked about the possibility of the Cowboys choosing a quarterback in this draft and he indicated that the team was happy with starter Tony Romo and backup Stephen McGee. No changes are expected at the quarterback position for the 2012 season.

A sportsbook review of the Cowboys’ past activity in free agency shows a team that has either been hesitant to sign the big names or has lost out to other teams. This off-season, the Cowboys fully intend to be active in the free agent market to get the players it needs to compete in 2012. Jerry Jones was asked about the team’s potential activity in free agency and he said that the team had plenty of room under the salary cap and it was going to use that room to grab good free agents. Jones would not elaborate on which free agents the Cowboys were keeping an eye on, but he did say that the fans can expect activity this year to strengthen the team.

In a move that Dallas Cowboys’ fans would only describe as a betonline scam, CNBC released a list of the top 10 cheerleading squads in the NFL and the Cowboys’ cheerleaders were not the top group. The Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders are one of the more famous groups of cheerleaders in the world thanks to an active marketing campaign that dates back to the 1970s. But when the squads were placed side-by-side and evaluated using categories such as presentation, community involvement and ability to get the fans involved in the game, the New England Patriots’ cheerleaders were ranked number one and the Cowboys’ cheerleaders were ranked number two. It is just another way in which the Dallas organization has dropped a notch or two in the past few years.

Cowboys fans who are following NFL scores may be trying to erase the memory of their season, especially with the New York Giants heading into the NFC title game. But there are plenty going on in the Dallas area to distract them as the <a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/mavericks-schedule-december/"title="Mavericks TV & Game Times" >Mavericks are trying to navigate their way through the shortened season with a veteran team, the Stars are falling out of the playoff picture and in a stroke of good news, the <a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/category/texas-rangers/"title="Texas Rangers Current Articles" >Texas Rangers finally landed their big-money signing.

<a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/category/dallas-mavericks/"title="Dallas Mavericks Current Articles" >Dallas Mavericks

The Mavericks had dropped two in a row ahead of their visit to Utah on Thursday night, and most sportsbook reviews would note that Dallas was probably happy to leave the Staples Center as they fell to the Lakers and Clippers bya combined five points, both coming on late jumpers by a veteran player (Derek Fisher and Chauncey Billups, respectively). That followed home routs over Milwaukee and Sacramento, and the Mavericks will be looking to end this road trip with victories over the Jazz and New Orleans, where they’ll be on Saturday night before returning home for games against Phoenix and Minnesota. You should keep an eye on their team news as Dirk Nowitzki has been trying to play through an ailing knee, and coach Rick Carlisle may have to shut the German down. Imagine New England’s Superbowl odds without Tom Brady; that’s what Dallas’ NBA Finals odds look like without a healthy Nowitzki.

<a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/category/dallas-stars-nhl/"title="Dallas Stars News" >Dallas Stars

The Stars have lost three straight games as they prepare to host Tampa Bay on Friday, and all three games were by a single goal, at home against Colorado and Detroit (shootout), along with a 1-0 loss at St. Louis. They’ve also lost leading scorer Jamie Benn to an emergency appendectomy and that is a definite blow for the Stars, who are sliding down the pecking order among those that use pay head services. The Stars aren’t known for being an offensive juggernaut in the first place, so to lose their leading scorer until the All-Star break really hurts. After Tampa Bay comes to town, the Stars fly to Minnesota for a game the next day, then they have a home-and-home series with Anaheim on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.

Texas Rangers

Some Texas fans were shaking their heads when C.J. Wilson left the Rangers to join their rivals in Los Angeles/Anaheim as a free agent, but they are in for an intriguing 2012 as the team signed Japanese hurler Yu Darvish to a six-year deal worth $60 million. The Rangers outbid the likes of Toronto for the right to negotiate with Darvish to the tune of $51 million, but now he has a lot to live up to. Some are comparing him to Detroit ace and Cy Young winner Justin Verlander, and that would help Texas’ chances among those that bet on sports next season.

The sport betting experts try to give <a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/category/dallas-cowboys-nfl/"title="Dallas Cowboys News" >Dallas Cowboys’ wide receiver Dez Bryant all the credit they can. When Bryant was having problems with hundreds of thousands of dollars in money owed for jewelry, the media made sure that it reported any of the payments Bryant made. It was expected that some of his teammates would talk to Bryant about his behavior off the field and how beneficial it can be to stay out of the limelight in the off-season. But if his teammates were talking, then Dez Bryant was not listening.

According to the price per head sports experts, Bryant was detained by police in Miami Beach after he got into yet another altercation with an unknown group. It is believed that the other party was part of a rap artist’s entourage, but no details have been released. The incident happened on January 15, and it could be evidence that Bryant has not learned how to control himself and still has a serious amount of growing up to do.

It has been reported that Dallas quarterback Tony Romo will pair up with Tiger Woods in an upcoming pro-am tournament on the PGA Tour. This announcement comes as the pay per head draft experts are starting to publicly wonder if the Cowboys should think about drafting a quarterback in the 2012 entry draft. Romo’s ability to win big games has been questioned for years and his dedication to the team has been questioned as he continually puts golf ahead of OTAs and other off-season activities. The Cowboys have not made any statements yet on what it intends to do in the draft, but the inability of Dallas to make it into the playoffs again this year makes fans wonder if Romo will be the scapegoat for the entire organization.

A bodog review of the Cowboys’ roster shows that, once again, the defensive secondary is a concern for the team. For the previous two years, the sports experts have been saying that the Cowboys need to either draft cornerbacks or pick some up in free agency. To this point, the Cowboys have done neither. But with new defensive coordinator Rob Ryan now calling the shots on defense, the Cowboys may not have any choice but to start picking up secondary players. Ryan’s scheme calls for the secondary to be active and make plays. The current Dallas secondary has shown repeatedly that it is unable to do that. The hope for Dallas fans is that he Cowboys will draft or pick up players that can execute Ryan’s scheme and get the Cowboys’ defense back on track.

The news was not all bad for the Cowboys’ defense in 2011. Whether you write a soccer blog or a football blog, you had to appreciate the season that Cowboys’ outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware had. The Pro Football Writers Association and the fans definitely noticed as Ware was voted into the Pro Bowl by the fans and he was placed on the All-NFL team by the Writers Association. Ware was one of the few bright spots in an otherwise perplexed Dallas defense. The problem for the Dallas defense was that it tried to use the wrong players for Rob Ryan’s system. The Cowboys will make roster changes to bring in players that Ryan needs. But it is expected that DeMarcus Ware will stay right where he is.

The NBA is starting to take precedence in the Dallas area as the <a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/mavericks-schedule-december/"title="Mavericks TV & Game Times" >Mavericks are getting hot ahead of a big week on the horizon, while the Stars have been up and down. Of course, the Cowboys are never far away from the sports betting consciousness in this area and they’re working on what to do for next season.

<a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/category/dallas-mavericks/"title="Dallas Mavericks Current Articles" >Dallas Mavericks

The Mavericks seem to be up to speed after their slow start, and they’ll have Thursday off after a week that Wagerweb reviews would rate as a resounding success. It started slow with a 22-point loss in San Antonio last Thursday, then the Mavericks dropped New Orleans, followed by wins in Detroit and Boston and things are starting to come together defensively as they held all three opponents to 86 points or less. Granted, it was against the Hornets and Pistons (two teams that aren’t very good), as well as the Celtics (who are looking old), and some players that work with sportsbook software are skeptical. But this is a team that won the title last year and if they can continue to play defense like this, they’ll be a threat to repeat. This week, the Mavericks host Milwaukee and Sacramento before heading the road for games against the Lakers and Clippers, followed by Utah on Thursday.

<a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/category/dallas-stars-nhl/"title="Dallas Stars News" >Dallas Stars

The Stars will be in Los Angeles on Thursday night to face the Kings, who are ahead of Dallas by two points in the standings, and those that are familiar with price per head services may say that that the team is stabilizing to where they should be: just outside of the playoff picture. They’ve won two of their last four, three of which occurred in the last week, which started with 4-1 wins in Nashville and at home against Edmonton, but they would return home for a 5-2 loss to Anaheim. Following the Los Angeles game, the Stars come home to host Colorado, then back out on the road to St. Louis, then back home for Detroit.

<a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/category/dallas-cowboys-nfl/"title="Dallas Cowboys News" >Dallas Cowboys

There are plenty of questions surrounding the Cowboys in the offseason, and the defense may be the biggest area of concern, which suffered down the stretch, but it was a few late-game losses that really hurt the Cowboys and that is a team-wide concern. Dallas will probably aim to improve a secondary which was decimated this season and they need a solid unit back there as there as the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles love to throw the ball. How they go about improving the secondary will be a major factor in next season’s sports betting odds.

The sports betting world is way too familiar with <a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/category/dallas-cowboys-nfl/"title="Dallas Cowboys News" >Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones to assume that the Cowboys will be the same team in 2012 that it was in 2011. There will be changes in Dallas, and everyone has learned to wait for the actual moves to take place because what Jerry Jones says and what he does are always two different things. One move that has already been made in Dallas is the release of defensive secondary coach Dave Campo. The Dallas secondary has not played up to expectations in the last few years, and Campo was the one that took the fall for it after the season ended.

The price per head sports experts are starting to notice that wide receiver Miles Austin has not been the same since he signed his big contract three years ago. One problem that is out of Austin’s control is the rash of injuries he has suffered, especially in the 2011 season. The lingering effects from injuries could be what has slowed Austin up this year, but his production in the two previous years was lacking as well. Some observers are calling on Dez Bryant to push the issue on who should be the number one receiver to help motivate Austin. But, so far, neither receiver has commented on what could be the genesis of another locker room battle for the Dallas Cowboys.

On the other end of the passing spectrum is quarterback Tony Romo. The fans are starting to wonder if maybe it is time to think of the future at quarterback. The pay per head sports analysts are projecting that the Cowboys may take a quarterback in the draft, but it would not be until a later round. The Cowboys have so many positions to address in the 2012 draft that quarterback is not high on the priority list. There is also the question as to whether or not second-string quarterback Stephen McGee may be the heir apparent and his time is starting to come. But all of that will be answered as the team moves closer to the 2012 training camp.

Amongst all of the disappointment and problems that the Dallas Cowboys have experienced lately, a bodog review of the Pro Bowl balloting shows a small glimmer of respect for the Dallas defense. Cowboys pass rusher DeMarcus Ware has been voted into his sixth Pro Bowl and will compete in the week between the championship games and the Super Bowl. Ware was definitely a consistent force on the Dallas defense and says he does plan on being there for the Pro Bowl festivities.

For all of the questions that still surround his play and all of the speculation about his job security next season, quarterback Tony Romo did finish the season as the fourth rated passer in the NFL. It would be a bet online scam to completely ignore the strides forward that Romo made in his development from last season to this season. Romo threw for 4,184 passing yards this year, but it was his 31 touchdowns compared to only 10 interceptions that should impress people. Romo was efficient at times, but he was not always able to get points when the Cowboys needed them. But the work that Romo has done in the 2011 season should be enough to warrant Romo keeping his job and getting the chance to be the starter again in 2012.
