If you missed out on seeing the monster trucks at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, have no fear because the Monster Energy AMA Supercross will be bringing their motorcycles to Dallas for our viewing pleasure. For those of you who do not know, these are the motorcycles that race around on the dirt track over various obstacles including jumps, bumps, tabletops, and more. Monster Jam Trucks Come to Cowboys Stadium

The Advance Autoparts Monster Jam is bringing the Monster Trucks to Dallas, Cowboys Stadium more specifically on February 27 2010. Yes Grave Digger is still around, and yes you should get tickets to see this event. This is another chance to see the inside of the Deathstar (Cowboys Stadium) on the cheap, and if you like Monster Trucks you are in hog heaven.

Chase for the Cup – Texas Motor Speedway

The Nascar Chase for the Cup rolls into Texas Motor Speedway this weekend. I would love to write about how this will be a special race, but the truth is it is not. Jimmie Johnson has pretty much wrapped up another championship, sure there is still a chance he could finish last in every race, but that won’t happen. Nascar needs to re visit the Chase for the Cup and adjust this thing again, whether it is to shorten the amount of races, or to lower the amount of points awarded per win. The problem is that this is not fair to the fans who have already purchased tickets to the Dickes 500. They will be watching a race that has no outcome on the Chase for the Cup, because it has already been won. Now I am not saying that people will not go and enjoy the pre race festivities and post race party, but I think that the attendance and TV ratings would enjoy a boost if all of the supposed “playoff races” somehow had an effect on the Championship.

12 drivers enter the NASCAR Chase for the Cup, and surprisingly Matt Kenseth and Kyle Busch are not included. This year will be the first time the chase for the cup has taken place without Matt Kenseth. Although plenty of elite drivers made the chase this year, Tony Stewart Jeff Gordon, and Jimmie Johnson to name a few. The biggest shock is that 50 year old Mark Martin leads the pack at age 50, last year he was retired. The Driver standings and the Chase for the Cup TV Schedule and results are listed below:

The Indy Racing League comes to the Texas Motor Speedway this weekend for the 20th time, for the Bombardier Learjet 550. Race time is at 8:00PM Central Time, and Versus will provide the TV coverage of the Bombardier Learjet 550 at the Texas Motor Speedway. Qualifying will take place at 5:30PM Central time on Friday June 5th.
