Dallas Cowboys at New Orleans Saints Preview:

December 15, 2009 by Matt Lawrence   ·

Nick Folk Missed Field GoalThe Dallas Cowboys lost another game in December in case you haven’t heard that yet. The loss to the Chargers was frustrating because the Cowboys left 10 points on the field. Nick Folk missed another field goal which now brings the miss total up to 9 for the year, can someone please make the decision to cut this kid and please fire Jason Garrett and the insanity that is his play calling. How many times did he call the same play before we turned the ball over on downs on the goal line?……..Deep Breath…..Exhale

This Week
Well I would like to throw some statistics out there that would make us all feel better about the Dallas Cowboys going to the Superdome and playing the Saints, but there really aren’t any at all. Let’s look anyway:

Cowboys-Saints History:
Last Meeting: Cowboys 17 Saints 42 in 2006
Last Cowboys Win: 1994
Advantage: Saints

Cowboys-Saints Offense
(This will be done by points per game, because points win games not yards)
Cowboys Rank: 13 – 22.8ppg
Saints Rank: 1 – 35.8ppg
Advantage: Saints

Cowboys-Saint Defense
(This will be done by points per game, because points win games not yards)
Cowboys Rank: 6 – 17.9ppg
Saints Rank: 18 – 21.1ppg
Advantage: Cowboys

Prediction: Saints 35 Cowboys 21
The Saints are at home and just have too many weapons on offensive for me to pick my beloved Cowboys.

    Saints will win

Everything is pointing that way, but upsets happen and that is why they play the game.

Dallas has NOT been focused since they won their last Super Bowl. They believe the Star on the helmet automatically gaurantees a playoff birth. Give the fans credit, they are believers. However, Philadelphia will keep the Cowpies from the Big Dance. Dallas has an ever interfereing Know It All owner, an indecisive coach, and too many players who put themselves before the game.

Can’t really argue with that, the Cowboys do think they are entitled.

you speak of the cowboys as a whole no they dont think they are entitled its just like with any franchise they are expected to make it, that is why they hold such high expectations, and believe me with T.O out of the picture they dont put themselves before the game they are a team and as we all know everyone has on days and bad days, for example look at Tony this Dec 5tds no interceptions playing his heart out, there has been changes this season but more people need to step up is all, I foresee an upset tonight you will see.

Agree with you about Romo, and getting rid of TO was a good move. I hope the boys do win tonight, but you can’t tell me that this team doesn’t act entitled, they haven’t won a playoff game in how long? This team needs to look in the mirror and a new coach and offensive coordinator wouldn’t hurt either.

I think every team has its share of problems and Dallas is one of them, although I do hope they pull off the upset of the year. No, they do not think they are entitled to win, America expects them to win. Dallas is Americas team no matter what anyone says and no matter how you look at it they are the ones most Americans pull for. i.e. How bout them Cowboys!!!
