Dallas Fitness Contest: Shape Up or Ship Out with Jay Johnson

January 18, 2010 by

contest - jay johnson's boot camp fitnessThe folks at Jay Johnson’s Boot Camp Fitness are gearing up to whip 20 people in the Dallas Metroplex into shape. In coordination with the New Year, the fitness team is sponsoring a competition where you can sculpt a “new you.”

After experiencing the boot camp myself, I can attest to the grueling workout you will face if selected as a contestant. I don’t see how you couldn’t lose weight and shape up those pesky problem areas.

The competition is called “New Body Boot Camp Challenge.” To enter, check out www.jaysbootcamp.com and fill out the application. All applications must be turned in by January 19, 2010, so you have a couple days to craft your winning essay and sell your tale.

Whether you want to look like you did back in the good ol’ days of high school or just had a baby, get your rear in gear with this competition!

The 20 contestants will meet in Victory Plaza, in front of the Good Morning Texas WFAA studio for nine weeks, beginning January 26. The glorious torture will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8-10 am. The actual workout won’t start until 9 am. Even if you are not one of the lucky 20 who are competing, anyone can join the workout for free. This is something I would definitely like to hit up. Free workouts in an amazing part of the city; who could ask for more?

Here’s the best part of the competition. The winner will receive loads of prizes, including: a $500 wardrobe, new cut/style and color, Zoom teeth whitening and a $500 spa treatment. All these goodies will go along great with the new sculpted bod. Not to mention how much healthier you will feel after this intense, nine-week program.

My question was “What could a contestant do to stand out among the other applicants?” I got the inside skinny- they are looking for you to dish on your goals, how losing weight would transform your life and why you should be selected over anyone else. The fitness team is also looking for people who are in good health condition, meaning you can run, jump and perform beginner-style exercises.

So hop on it and apply. Visit www.jaysbootcamp.com for complete rules, contest details and all the application materials needed. Go forth and sweat it out!
