Come on P-1’s,

I am as big a Ticket fan as anyone but let’s back off the claims re. how Hollywood “invented” the “guy talk” format. The Hardline and Musers are essentially “Howard Stern Sports”, and Stern was doing the “guy talk” thing a LONG time before the Ticket ever hit the air.

1. I’m pretty sure that everything you wrote made no sense, but it’s hard to tell due to your misuse of punctuation.

Calling Nestor Aparicio “controversial” is a compliment to him. The truth is, Nestor is barely a blip on anyone’s radar in Baltimore. His station is at 1570 AM. Do the numbers go any higher on the radio dial? His station’s ratings barely register on the Arbitrons and he has very few supporters. He’s an arrogant, pompous ass.

Having said all of that, if Gordo really wanted to “bury the hatchet”, why do it with a microphone in hand and on Radio Row at the Super Bowl? Why not send him a handwritten letter, call him in June, or have a Candy-Gram delivered? It seems very provocative to confront Aparicio in this way given their history. Maybe this was all scripted like professional wrestling to attempt to get Nestor’s station some ratings.
