The Indy Racing League comes to the Texas Motor Speedway this weekend for the 20th time, for the Bombardier Learjet 550.  Race time is at 8:00PM Central Time, and Versus will provide the TV coverage of the Bombardier Learjet 550 at the Texas Motor Speedway.  Qualifying will take place at 5:30PM Central time on Friday June 5th.

In 2008 Scott Dixon won the Bombardier Learjet 550K, and Dixon currently sits atop the 2009 Standings.  He won last weeks at the A.J. Foyt 225, and Scott is DallasSportsFans pick to win the race at the Texas Motor Speedway this week.

Danica Patrick

Danica Patrick has been followed by a swell of controversy this week.  Danica is a free agent at the end of the 2009 season and rumors have flying around that she is thinking of making the jump to NASCAR.  Danica Patrick has finished in the top 5 for each of her last 4 races and is currently ranked 4th in the driver standings.  Even though she is having a successful year in the Indy Racing League, it does not mean that this will carry over to NASCAR.  Many IRL drivers have tried to make the jump to NASCAR recently and failed, and she would be better served to stay in the IRL where she has improved in the overall standings every year.  That said this is just a rumor and no one except for Danica Patrick know whether she is actually considering making this mistake or not.
