Dallas Round-Up – Cowboys Finally Win, Rangers Finally Clinch

September 30, 2010 by · Leave a Comment

Online betting players should run to their betting services in Dallas as they are entering a very important time of the year as the Mavericks and Stars are starting their camps, the Cowboys have shaken off the rust and look like they’re ready to get going, and the Rangers are getting ready to go back to the playoffs for the first time in 11 years.

Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys played like a team with their backs against the wall in their 27-13 win in Houston in a Lone Star showdown, forcing three turnovers and generally shutting down the high-powered Texan offense. Tony Romo was 23-of-30 for 284 yards, a pair of touchdowns and no picks, and while the ground game wasn’t great, it was better, and that’s fair. The biggest surprise to NFL betting players was Roy Williams, who had five catches for 117 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and he has to be feeling the pressure of rookie Dez Bryant coming for his spot. Williams came up with arguably his best performance in a Dallas uniform, which is encouraging. Now the Cowboys can go into their bye week with a little bit of breathing room, because some (mostly in the media) were ready to hit the panic button if they would have went into the bye week 0-3. Now they have a week and a half to prepare for a visit from Tennessee and Chris Johnson, one of the top two backs in the league.

Texas Rangers

MLB betting players knew it was only a matter of time before Texas clinched, and they did last Saturday with a 4-3 win in Oakland, and now they can get down to the business of getting ready for their first playoff appearance since 1999. The first order of business is to get Josh Hamilton back and healthy, and he’s aiming to come back for the Rangers’ season-ended series at home against Los Angeles, the team they’ve supplanted as the dominant force in the American League West. Hamilton is sure to garner some MVP votes even though he’s been out for the last three weeks, and if he managed to play the full season, he’d probably be a shoo-in. The Rangers would also like to give Cliff Lee some rest as the ace wasn’t that sharp down the stretch. The Rangers are going to need him to be at his best because the rest of the staff doesn’t have any postseason experience, while Lee went to the World Series with Philadelphia last season. That the Rangers have done this with all of the questions surrounding their ownership is one of the great stories of the season, but it’s not over: Texas could make some noise in your best online sportsbook this fall.

Dallas Cowboys Update: Dallas Comes Through in Houston

September 29, 2010 by · Leave a Comment

Things were looking sketchy in Dallas after the first two weeks of the season. The sports book makers were starting to second guess their choice of Dallas as one of the NFC favorites to get to the Super Bowl. The offense was not clicking and the special teams were terrible. The NFL betting world was turning on America’s Team and rumors about coaching jobs and quarterback benchings were starting to fly.

Then the Cowboys went in to Houston and beat a legitimate playoff contender in the Houston Texans. The NFL scores the first couple of weeks were against the Cowboys, but the week three game saw a 27-13 win for Dallas. Now Wade Phillips’ job is safe again, Tony Romo is one of the NFL’s elite quarterbacks again and Jerry Jones is starting to force a smile.

While the win was significant for the Cowboys, the team is still 1-2 on the season. They will need to put together a string of wins if the locker room division is going to stop, and the finger-pointing at coaches and players is going to stop as well. The players tried to keep the problems among themselves, and Phillips kept acting like he has the answers but no one is listening. We will see what future games will bring.

NFL Week 3 Preview: Cowboys at Texans

September 23, 2010 by · Leave a Comment

The Dallas Cowboys have put themselves in a big hole to start out the 2010 NFL Season. This year’s schedule was already tough, but now it is looking even tougher. Falling 0-2 on the year greatly diminishes the chances of the Cowboys making the playoffs. The Cowboys will travel down to Houston this week to play the undefeated Texans.

The Texans struggled against the Redskins, much the same as the Cowboys did however they were able to win the game in overtime. The Cowboys haven’t been blown out, they have lost two close games because of costly mistakes. Is this the week they can redeem themselves? I’m not sure, but tune into FOX at noon on Sunday to find out. The announcers for the Fox TV Channel will be Joe Buck and Troy Aikman. Injury & Game information below.

Preseason: Dallas Cowboys at Houston Texans

August 22, 2010 by · Leave a Comment

The Dallas Cowboys will travel to Houston to play the Texans in the 2010 NFL Preseason. The Cowboys have suffered several injuries already this preseason, so hopefully they can get through their trip to Houston without anymore. The Cowboys have looked great on defense in the preseason and if offensive coordinator Jason Garrett can call some decent plays in the red zone the Cowboys should have a shot at doing some big things this year.

After the Cowboys face the Houston Texans this week they will come home to Dallas (Arlington) to face the Miami Dolphins in their fifth and final preseason game for 2010. Playing 5 preseason games is definitely a little overboard, but hopefully the Boys can get by without anymore major injuries. Read below for the Cowboys Texans TV Channel, TV Time, and other important information about the game.
