Dallas Mavericks Schedule March 2010
February 26, 2010 by Matt Lawrence · Leave a Comment
There is lots to be excited about in regards to the Dallas Mavericks. The team was able to get rid of some team kryptonite in Josh Howard which is a plus by itself. However when you add to this that we got Caron Butler and Brendan Haywood in return this deal was definitely a steal for the Mavericks. The only player I didn’t want to see go is Drew Gooden, even though he is one of the most inefficient players his hustle factor was there every night.
The Mavericks schedule in March will be pretty friendly as we make our playoff push, because of this only 2 games will make it to National Television. Tickets are still available for upcoming games, and I recommend checking out StubHub if you are planning to head to the games. There are two don’t miss games in the month of March, both the Boston Celtics and the Denver Nuggets will swim through town.

Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants Preview
November 30, 2009 by Matt Lawrence · Leave a Comment

The Cowboys gave us reason to be thankful on Thanksgiving, but will the be able to march up to New York and beat the Giants? The Cowboys lead the NFC East, currently they hold a one game lead over the Eagles and a two game lead over the Giants. So once again this week the Cowboys can guarantee they will stay alone in first place with a win.
The New York Giants have lost 5 of their last 6 games, the only win in that stretch came after the Giants bye week. Last week the New York Football Giants lost in Denver 26-6 and Eli Manning is reported to have a problem with his foot, and Brandon Jacobs continues his season filled with disappointment for anyone who has him in fantasy football.

Dallas Cowboys vs Oakland Raiders – Thanksgiving Game
November 20, 2009 by Matt Lawrence · 4 Comments

The Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving day game is by far my favorite, this is the only game where you know you don’t have anything else to do except for lay on your couch with a stomach overstuffed with yummy goodness and travel in and out of consciousness while your team plays. More often then not our boys get to play a terrible team like this years opponent the Oakland Raiders. So please enjoy some cold beers, turkey, and hopefully a Dallas Cowboys win over the Raiders, Right Jerry?
I could go in depth and talk about this match up, but I don’t want to because it is plain and simple. The Raiders Suck and the Cowboys need to beat them, so please Cowboys don’t ruin my thanksgiving by losing to these sad sacks like the Eagles did. Instead of a game analysis I would like to leave you with the 5 of the many reasons that the Raiders suck.

Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles
November 2, 2009 by Matt Lawrence · 4 Comments
Last Week: Bobby Carpenter recorded a sack….no really he did. The Dallas Cowboys ran over the Seattle Seahawks to a tune of 38 – 17. The Cowboys have looked great in both of their wins over Atlanta and Seattle, but their real test will come this week against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Last Year: The Cowboys and Eagles split their two meetings, but the Eagles win over the Cowboys at the end of the season has left a bad taste in the mouths of Dallas Sports Fans. The Eagles thumped the Cowboys 44 – 6 in the final game of the 2008 season. The most disheartening part about this loss is that a win would have ensured the Cowboys a playoff spot and they lost by 38 points.
This Year: The Cowboys have improved their record with 2 impressive wins over the Falcons and Seahawks in recent weeks. Tony Romo has not thrown an interception in a few games and the team is getting healthy. The hated Eagles have been a very up and down team this year, they lost to the Raiders, but have posted impressive wins over the Redskins and Giants in recent weeks. This game is pretty unpredictable, but Vegas has the Eagles winning by 3.

Dallas Cowboys at Denver Broncos | NFL Week 4
September 30, 2009 by Matt Lawrence · Leave a Comment

After last weeks win the Dallas Cowboys have 2 wins and 1 loss. The Cowboys rallied in the second half to beat the Panthers 21 – 7, and now face an undefeated Broncos team.
Denver Broncos
The Broncos have a new look this year thanks to the departure of head coach Mike Shanahan and Quarterback Jay Cutler. Josh McDaniels has taken over as the head coach of the Broncos, and his decisions have been questioned since it is believed that he is responsible for Jay Cutler’s departure. The Broncos wins have been over the Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, and Oakland Raiders. The Raiders and Browns have a combined record of 1 – 5 and the Broncos did not dominate Cincinnati in their 12 – 7 win, so in other words the Broncos are a very weak 3 – 0 and have not been tested. The Broncos WRs Barandon Marshall and Eddie Royal will test the Cowboys secondary in this matchup.
Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys running back position is not looking as deep as it was at the beginning of the season due to Marion Barber and Felix Jones injuries. Felix is believed to be out for this game, and it is questionable whether Marion Barber will be available. Barber was a no show on the Cowboys Stadium sidelines for the Panthers game, the team is saying that he was getting treatment during the game. It is more likely that he was angry the Cowboys wouldn’t let him play, but you can decide for yourself. Running Back Tashard Choice was pressed into duty and did not disappoint, he ran for 82 yards and a TD and caught 4 balls for 36 more yards. Other roster news that came down this week is that Michael Jenkins is now the full time starting Corner Back for the Dallas Cowboys, he had been rotating with Orlando Scandrick who will now serve as the 3rd CB.
