In this week’s edition of Fantasy Football 3-2-1, I provide some useful information regarding the early 2010 performance of some defensive units that will help you in two ways: first, deciding whether to start them or not in your D/ST slot; and second, knowing what to expect from your players when they are facing these defenses.

Here is how this week’s edition of 3-2-1 breaks down:

fantasy-football-321-logoTHREE defenses whose performance so far in 2010 has been surprising based on their track record and I think it will continue;

TWO defenses who are performing exactly how we’d expect them to, plus what you should do with this information; and,

ONE key piece of advice regarding how you should view your star players when it comes to start/sit decisions.

And now here’s me, with my slightly more kempt look after finally getting a haircut.

After you watch the video, don’t forget about our other Week 3 fantasy insights:

Fantasy Football 3-2-1: Which Week 1 Performances Should You Trust and Distrust?

In the 3rd episode of Fantasy Football 3-2-1, I tell you which Week 1 performances you should trust and which ones you should be skeptical about.

David Garrard threw 3 TDs…should you trust it? Eli Manning threw 3 TDs as well…can you trust him? What about Matt Hasselbeck?

Same with Arian Foster and Darren McFadden. Whose performance is more likely to continue the rest of the season?

I analyze those topics and others, plus I describe an embarrassing Week 1 “decision” I made as a way to offer a very valuable piece of advice.

Fantasy Football 3-2-1: More Week 1 Advice on Potential Buy Low/Sell High Candidates

Some of the toughest decisions of the fantasy football season come during the season’s first few weeks. There is a high amount of volatility in the perceived value of players during this time period, making it a perfect time to execute buy low/sell high maneuvers.

If you’re right, of course.

There is nothing greater than making a trade for a struggling player who you just know will turn it around…and then see him turn around. On the contrary, there is nothing worse than trading away a player you think has peaked, only to see him kick it into another gear, but for someone else in your league.

So I decided to a video about it.

fantasy football week 1 buy low sell high candidates spiller brown cadillacIn the second edition of Fantasy Football 3-2-1 I analyze three running backs who I think could have huge first weeks but for whom trouble could be around the corner. This makes them sell high candidates  if you can find someone willing to part with a stud in return.

Take note: Just because I say that CJ Spiller is a potential sell high candidate does not mean that I’d trade him for Rashad Jennings. Spiller still has a lot of value. But what if Jamaal Charles’ owner became enamored with Spiller after a terrific Week 1 against Miami? I’d do that without thinking twice.

There is no guarantee that you will be able to sell anyone high or buy anyone low; it all depends on your league, and how the owners in your league value particular players. But there are some things to look for when you’re targeting buy low/sell high guys.

Without further ado, let’s go to the video and discuss it in more depth.

This is a video ad that is supposed to be promoting Super Bowl XLV in Dallas. This video features some prominent Dallas Sports Athletes singing Faith Hill’s “This Kiss, This Kiss”. The Dallas Athletes featured in the video include Dirk Nowitzki, Tony Romo, Brett Hull, and more.

Well there really isn’t much else to say except that this is definitely a Dallas Sports WTF moment. Sit back and enjoy this Super Bowl XLV video ad, possibly one of the cheesiest videos I have ever layed eyes upon.

Video Gordon Keith Fight | Nasty Nestor Chokes Gordon Keith Video

January 30, 2009 by · 15 Comments

On Radio Row at the Super Bowl, Baltimore radio host Nasty Nestor Aparicio attempted to choke Gordon Keith from Dallas radio station 1310 The Ticket. The video of the Gordon Keith fight was taken from the Ticket webcam. The altercation occurred after Gordon Keith walked over to Nasty Nestor with a microphone in an attempt to end a feud that has been going on for almost 10 years.

The audio of the incident is available on the UnTicket.com. From the audio, it is clear that Gordon Keith was not trying to provoke Nasty Nestor, who reacted quite violently.

You can also see the video of the Gordon Keith fight here.

The video does not show the initial assault, however after Nasty Nestor is shown attacking Gordon Keith again and having to be restrained by one of his assistants.

Nasty Nestor has a history of saying mean-spirited, hateful things. In May of 2008, Nasty Nestor wrote an article for a Baltimore magazine in which he disparaged the homeless. In January, Norm Hitzges tried to settle differences with Nasty Nestor, who responded with profanities and shouting. Later that week, Corby Davidson also attempted to make peace. Nasty Nestor responded with more profanity and accused Corby Davidson of having a hidden microphone. Corby then said “I swear to the good Lord I do not have a microphone.” In response, Nasty Nestor said he thought Corby didn’t even believe in God because Corby was” a F#$@ing Jew,

This is just the latest incident involving Nasty Nestor. I hope the NFL does not allow him back to the Super Bowl after such an embarrassing childish display.

What is also disappointing is in the video, when Gordon Keith and Junior Miller complain to an NFL representative about Nasty Nestor, the representative scolds Gordon Keith for “F#$%-ing with people.” As a representative of the NFL, he should have kept out of the situation. Hopefully the NFL does what is right and bans Nestor. In this situation the Ticket did nothing wrong.
