If you’ve been following Dallas’ NFL schedule, you’ve seen that the Cowboys are starting to get it together as they head into the second half of the season. Meanwhile, the Stars are starting to slide as a recent skid may have some fans wondering what is wrong.

<a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/category/dallas-cowboys-nfl/"title="Dallas Cowboys News" >Dallas Cowboys

It’s not a BetOnline scam if you see the Cowboys as a favorite for the NFC East in a sportsbook as they’re now one game behind the New York Giants after a 44-7 trouncing of Buffalo at home for their third win in four games. Tony Romo was excellent, throwing for 270 yards and three touchdowns, but the Cowboys’ per head odds are rising due to the play of DeMarco Murray, who ran for 135 yards and a score, as he takes a ton of the pressure off of Romo, who can be more relaxed knowing that the Cowboys can run the ball and he doesn’t have to make any plays outside of his skill set. Dallas will now head to Washington for a road game with their bitter rivals, the Redskins, who have dropped five in a row and are having massive quarterback troubles. This is the perfect time for the Cowboys are continue their roll and with the Giants hosting Philadelphia on Sunday night, there is a possibility that the Cowboys could be tied for first place in the division when they wake up on Monday morning, but first, they have to take care of business against the Redskins.

<a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/category/dallas-stars-nhl/"title="Dallas Stars News" >Dallas Stars

Price per head sports fans watched Dallas fly out of the gates to begin the NHL season, and heading into Thursday’s games, the Stars were still atop the Pacific Division by a point over Phoenix and Los Angeles, but a three-game skid may worry some fans. After scoring 20 goals in a four-game winning streak, the Stars scored just three in three games as they fell 3-1 in Pittsburgh and 5-2 in Detroit, but it’s a 6-0 shutout loss at home to Florida that is particularly troubling as it was their worst loss of the season and they never looked like they were in the game. The Stars have also had to deal with injuries and now Adam Burish is on the sidelines for 4-6 weeks because of a broken hand. We’re going to find out what the Stars are really all about as they’re in Colorado on Friday night, then they return home to face San Jose, Edmonton and Los Angeles in a busy week that will have an effect on the standings in the Western Conference. However, if the Stars are dominated this week, their faith among sport betting online players will diminish.

The online betting crowd can see the stars starting to align for the <a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/category/dallas-cowboys-nfl/"title="Dallas Cowboys News" >Dallas Cowboys, but everyone is trying to avoid getting over-confident. In week 10, the Cowboys blasted the Buffalo Bills 44-7 for Dallas’ second win in a row. The team is now 5-4 and in the thick of the hunt for the NFC East title. The next three Dallas opponents have a combined record of 8-19 with the next up being the Washington Redskins. After the Redskins, the Cowboys have games against the Miami Dolphins and Arizona Cardinals. Miami and Arizona have shown that they are weak teams that are capable of winning on any given week. But those are two more games the Cowboys could win.

Not only could the Cowboys’ price per head record be 8-4 after the next three games, Dallas has also discovered a running game with DeMarco Murray that it never knew it had. With Murray teamed up with running back Felix Jones in the Dallas backfield, the two will make a formidable combination.

The one thing that the Cowboys are missing is pay per head veteran wide receiver Miles Austin who will be out another one to three weeks with a hamstring injury. There were rumors that the Cowboys may be thinking of signing a veteran wide receiver to pick up the slack for a set of receivers that seems to get hurt a lot. But Dallas found out in the Buffalo game that it is deep at wide receiver and does not need to make any moves. Receivers such as Laurent Robinson and Jesse Holley were able to step up, and don’t forget about veteran tight end Jason Witten’s contributions as well.

The bet online stars have aligned for a former Cowboy as Tashard Choice will be able to play against the Cowboys in week 11. Choice was released on October 31 and signed by the Redskins. Choice had an injured shoulder when he was let go by Dallas, so he could not play his first few games as a Redskin. But he is ready to go and says he is anxious to play against his former teammates.

When Choice was released by Dallas, it was done because the Cowboys felt that DeMarco Murray was enough of a stud that he could carry the team until Felix Jones returns. With Jones ready to come back, the Cowboys now have the running game that it thought it had when Jones and Marion Barber were in the Dallas backfield. Barber turned out to be injury-prone and wildly inconsistent with his production and did not give the balance to the running game that Dallas was hoping for.

Murray gives NFL fans in Dallas something to cheer about, and he also helps to take a lot of pressure off of quarterback Tony Romo. Many observers think that the problems the Cowboys were having were due to the fact that Dallas had to rely on Romo with no running game. The emergence of a running game, and the Cowboys recent turn around towards a winning record, are not a coincidence in the eyes of many fans and sports observers.

The San Francisco 49ers is already looking much better at the start of this season than they did at any point last year. But a disappointing overtime loss to the <a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/category/dallas-cowboys-nfl/"title="Dallas Cowboys News" >Dallas Cowboys in week two put San Francisco back to 1-1. For the Cowboys, week two was a chance to get the sports betting world back on Dallas’ side and bring its record up to 1-1. By the time the game was over, the Cowboys had brought its record up to 1-1 but had paid a very high price in the process.

In week three, the NFL betting lines will be tough to call as the Cowboys host the high-flying Washington Redskins on Monday Night Football. Unfortunately for the Cowboys, the events of week two may make the sportsbook promo odds-makers jobs a bit easier. The Cowboys suffered some major injuries on offense and, coupled with lingering injuries from training camp, those injuries could put the Cowboys at a distinct disadvantage.

Wide receiver Miles Austin had to leave the game with a hamstring strain in week two. Wide receiver Dez Bryant has a thigh injury he sustained in week one that still has him out of action. Running back Felix Jones has a separated shoulder but is trying to play through the pain and starting center Phil Costa was injured in the week two win over San Francisco and did not finish the game. It is not known if any of these players will be ready for week three against the Washington Redskins or, if they do play, how effective they will be. This makes the NFL pick this week in the Dallas game interesting.

But perhaps the most significant offensive injury of the day was the cracked rib and punctured lung suffered by quarterback Tony Romo. This was a game where Romo was starting to show significant improvement over his embarrassing performance of last week. Romo finished the game, but was in obvious pain as he walked off the field. Romo’s status for week three is also unknown.

No one was really fishing for blame on the Cowboys’ rash of injuries, but head coach <a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/jason-garrett-to-be-cowboys-new-head-coach/"title="Jason Garret to be named Cowboys Head Coach" >Jason Garrett stepped up and took the heat for at least one of the injuries. Miles Austin was already hobbled with his bad hamstring when Garrett called a running play to Austin late in the game. Rather than bringing the wide receiver out of the game and getting him medical attention, Garrett feels that the play he called may have made things worse for the Cowboys’ number one receiver. Now the Cowboys face the prospects of facing the Washington Redskins without the Dallas starting quarterback, running back, both wide receivers and the center.

In some positive Dallas Cowboys’ injury news, cornerback Terence Newman says that he will be able to play in week three against the Redskins. Newman has been out since August 3rd when he suffered a pulled groin muscle. Newman Twittered that his recovery is complete and he is ready to join the team for this important divisional game.

The Redskins are a mess to say the least. The Redskins Head Coach Mike Shannahan has had trouble getting some of his big name players in line this season. The Redskins have struggled all year, and the distractions that McNabb and Haynesworth created have only made things worse. The Redskins have lost 3 straight, and it could very easily be 4 on Sunday.

The Cowboys on the other hand have been playing a lot better under <a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/jason-garrett-to-be-cowboys-new-head-coach/"title="Jason Garret to be named Cowboys Head Coach" >Jason Garrett‘s more detail oriented system, but the team is still guaranteed a losing record. Does anyone else remember the beginning of the season when we were talking playoffs?

Las Vegas is taking the Cowboys by 6, and that might be a little conservative considering how both of these teams have been playing lately. Look for the Cowboys to come out and make a statement this week. However even if Dallas blows out the Redskins it might not be enough to save Jason Garrett’s job. Jerry has been mysteriously silent about next years coach. You can find the Cowboys vs Redskins TV Channel, Time and TV Announcers below:

However Mike Shanahan seems to have adopted the Dan Snyder’s mentality of only signing players who are past their prime. If this was 2005 the Redskins would have one of the best offenses in the league, but it is 2010. The Redskins acquired Donovon McNabb from the Eagles via trade this offseason, and Donavan is already nursing an injury.

On the other hand you have our beloved Cowboys who looked pathetic in the preseason, squandering pretty much all of their scoring opportunities. Hopefully they were just being conservative in the preseason, however last years stats say otherwise. Think about this, the Cowboys ranked 2nd right behind the Saints in yards per game with just under 400. However when you look at points per game the Saints maintain the #1 spot with 31 points per game, the Cowboys on the other hand ranked #14 with 22.6 points per game. The offense was inefficient last year, and it looks inefficient this year. I think Seth Eisenburg’s quote that “If it looks like $h@t, smells like $h@t, and feels like $h@t, you don’t have to actually eat it to know it’s $h@t.” applies here. Don’t get me wrong I think the Cowboys are still going to win some games, I just question keeping <a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/jason-garrett-to-be-cowboys-new-head-coach/"title="Jason Garret to be named Cowboys Head Coach" >Jason Garrett around if the offense is so inefficient it needs almost 200 yards per 7 points.

So in summary the Redskins are old at their skill positions: QB McNabb 33, RB Portis 29, WR Galloway 38, WR Moss 31 and these are all injury prone players. This and the fact that the Cowboys are so inefficient on offense should make for a low scoring game. I am taking the under on the spread if it is anywhere north of 40 (currently 40.5) and picking the Cowboys to cover the point spread anywhere south of a touchdown (currently -3.5). Below is all of the important information you need for the Dallas Cowboys vs Washington Redskins game including the TV Channel, <a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/dallas-cowboys-stadium-parking-information"title="Cowboys Stadium Parking Information" >Parking Information, Point Spread, Tickets, and over under.

The game would have been a lock, but Nick Folk missed another chip shot that would have put the Cowboys up by 10. So instead we all had to bite are nails while Drew Brees and the Saints tried to tie the game up, but the Dallas defense was up to the task. This week the Cowboys told Nick to Folk off and have replaced him with Shaun Suisham who was cut from the Washington Redskins after missing a kick against the Saints in week 13. Have no fear though he is 18 of 21 on the season unlike Folk who is 18 of 28. And all of you Romo haters out there, you must realize that the jedi powers have returned, seriously would you want to even play real money poker with him right now? I think not.

This Week
The Cowboys will play the hated Washington Redskins at FedEx Field, and it will be interesting to see which Redskins team shows up on Sunday. Will it be the team that was blown out by the Giants or the team that lost to New Orleans by only 3? The Dallas Cowboys need to win regardless, because if they lose the win over New Orleans will be meaningless. Hopefully the Cowboys can play the way they did last week, which is the best I have witnessed for a long time.

COWBOY CORNER – WEEK 16

Week 16

<a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/category/dallas-cowboys-nfl/"title="Dallas Cowboys News" >Dallas Cowboys @ Washington Redskins

Sunday, December 27, 1:00 p.m. ET

Sports Handicapping Favorite: NO LINE

Cowboys offense vs Redskins defense

The Dallas Cowboys offense shredded the New Orleans Saints last week and with an extra day to prepare for the feeble Redskins, the Cowboys should have plenty more success. Playing back-to-back road games is tough for any team but considering the Cowboys have one more day to prepare and the Redskins have one less day to prepare (they played on Monday Night Football), the Cowboys likely won’t have much trouble.

They’ll take a good look at the blueprint the New York Giants left them from Monday night. The Redskins defense was picked apart and the Cowboys will aim to do a lot of the same.

While most sports betting pundits just want to blindly rip Tony Romo because it’s the month of December, the reality is that he has played great in recent weeks. Romo has four straight games with a quarterback rating of 100 or better.

Cowboys defense vs Redskins offense

The Cowboys defense was a big surprise last week as they dominated the line of scrimmage against the New Orleans Saints and never let their dynamic offense get off the ground. The Cowboys had four sacks and two forced fumbles while holding the Saints to just 65 yards rushing.

The Cowboys may get a freebie this week. Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell took a beating against the Giants and he might not play or if he does, he won’t be 100%. Sportsbooks like Bet Jamaica, who usually open the lines (Bet Jamaica Reviews) are keeping the line off the board until more is known.

If Campbell is out, he would be just another in a long line of injuries for Washington. Their top two running backs, top tight end and three of their five starting offensive line are also out.

Outlook

The Cowboys can clinch a playoff spot with a win while the Redskins are already thinking about next year. The Redskins just hired a new General Manager in the middle of the season and they are in the process of hiring a new head coach as well. The team was also interviewing defensive coordinator Jerry Gray and the defensive line coach as well, which means there is bound to be some friction between them and their current boss, Jim Zorn.

The Cowboys will take care of business easily in this game.

COWBOY CORNER – WEEK 11

The strange NFL betting trend continues, as my endorsement of the Cowboys against Green Bay last week once again amounted to a Dallas loss. Time for a change; I once again like the Cowboys’ chances this week but, against Washington, the Cowboys will make good and end my football predictions slump.

Week 11

WASHINGTON REDSKINS @ <a href="http://www.dallassportsfans.com/category/dallas-cowboys-nfl/"title="Dallas Cowboys News" >DALLAS COWBOYS

Sunday, November 22, 1:00 p.m. ET

Favorite: Cowboys -11

Cowboys offense vs Redskins defense

Facing an elite Packers pass defense last week, Tony Romo and the Cowboys showed that they’re beatable. Now, facing the Redskins’ league-leading pass defense, the Cowboys have their work cut out for them again. Don’t be surprised if America’s team doesn’t do a ton in the passing game. It seems Romo can’t get Miles Austin and Roy Williams going in the same week; when one flourishes, the other disappears.

The Cowboy coaching staff hinted at committing to the run more this week; that would boost their sportsbook prospects, as the Redskins are weak against the run. Felix Jones seems to be losing snaps because of his pass protection woes but Marion Barber and/or Tashard Choice will get the job done.

Cowboys defense vs Redskins offense

Jason Campbell may be losing sleep as this week’s game approaches. He’s settled back into acceptable caretaker status after a horrible start, posting a quarterback rating of 90 or better in three straight contests. However, Campbell has taken 15 sacks over his last four games; he still gets rattled in the pocket and never seems to hang there long enough to unleash a deep throw. You can therefore expect the Cowboys to bring the pressure with DaMarcus Ware and Jay Ratliff, who’ve combined for 11 sacks this season.

Washington’s running game is in shambles with Clinton Portis sidelined by a concussion and the offensive line both ineffective and banged up. A bright spot for Washington in recent weeks, however, has been Laddell Betts. In rushing for 114 yards on 26 carries against a tough Denver run defense last week, he showed he can handle feature back duties.

Outlook

As long as the Cowboys get an early lead, they should remain in the driver’s seat for this contest. If the Redskins fall behind, they’ll put the ball in Campbell’s hands and that should amount to multiple three-and-outs. That will send the Redskins’ defense out again and again and tire it out, softening it up for some Dallas scores. Happy to be home for the first time in a few weeks, the Cowboys will win on Sunday. Sports betting sharps and Cowboy fans alike will agree.

The Dallas Cowboys offense lost 2 fumbles and Romo was intercepted near the Packers goal line. The worst thing that happened on Sunday was no doubt offensive lineman Marc Colombo breaking his left fibula, in Colombo’s absence Romo was sacked 5 times. To read more about the Cowboy’s sloppy play against the Packers read the Cowboys Recap.

Cowboys-Redskins This Week: This week the Cowboys will play the Redskins at home after 2 weeks on the road. The Boys were able to beat the Eagles in Philadelphia, but couldn’t overcome mistakes and injuries to beat the Packers.

The Cowboys will need to beat the Redskins in order to ensure they stay alone atop the NFC East standings. The Redskins have been terrible this year, their front office has been a mess for most of the season, but last week the Washington Redskins beat the Denver Broncos. So what does this mean? The Redskins won the game after getting the momentum from a touchdown on a fake punt, and an injury kept Denver QB Kyle Orton sidelined in the second half, so not much. The Cowboys should beat the Redskins if they can sort out the offense, mainly the offensive line. Prediction: Cowboys 21 Redskins 17
